Square Area
• 250 sq km (100 sq miles) - Thailand's 3rd largest island. Singapore is 268 sq miles.
• 35 km northeast of Surat Thani town (9°N, 100°E). Off the East Coast of the Isthmus of Kra in the Gulf of Thailand/Siam.
Samui Island Group
• Consists of approximately 60 islands many of which fall within the Angthong National Maritime Park
. Around Samui the main islands are Koh Phangan (12km north) Koh Tao (55km north) Koh Nangyuan (64km north) Ang Thong Islands (27km north west).
